Mass Movement

Mission Dawah aims to establish a "mass movement" in da'wah through training and mobilising a network of du'aat or Islamic missionaries. Mission Dawah will either partner with or develop teams of local, trained volunteers whose activities will be coordinated by more advanced local team leaders. This will be achieved by taking them through a series of training programmes, alongside additional support with practical tool-kits on giving da'wah, and further support in physical, financial and human resources. These local teams will be developed nationwide, and will come to form a vast network. All activities will be continuously monitored, with findings informing further improvements to make them more effective and efficient. The local team leaders will receive ongoing da'wah training, after which some will be considered to become full-time du'aat.

Full- Time Du' aat

Du'aat are often called upon by Muslim organisations and university Islamic societies to give da' wah through lectures and talks, but they don't always have the appropriate training and material to be effective in their roles. Moreover, du'aat are needed to actively correct the misunderstandings of Islam that exist in debates in the media. The du' aat supported by Mission Dawah will be amongst the best minds, the most articulate of voices, all equipped with sound Islamic knowledge and reasoning, along with a fine appreciation of different areas in comparative religion, the social sciences, history and culture.

What will they do?

Mission Dawah supported du'aat will be focused around giving da'wah on a one-to-one level, instructing others to become more confident and effective diaee's in their local community, to articulating Islam through different forms of mass media.

Specific activities will include:

• Lectures and workshops at universities, colleges, schools and community Islam awareness campaigns.
• Media watch, comprising of radio, TV and print and electronic media.
• Instructing local diaee?s through da'wah training programmes.

Training

Mission Dawah will aim to develop an ever- expanding da'wah training curriculum which will encapsulate a holistic approach to Islamic knowledge. This will cover du' aat at different stages of development, from initiation, to intermediate, advanced and beyond.
