Definitely the 'bottle of blood' analogy. If we would do ANYTHING in this world for the one we love, what's stopping us from giving dawah for the sake of Allah? Remember how beautiful that relationship with Allah is....wouldn't you want to enable another person to have such a relationship?

You are not a true believer until you love for your brother what you love for yourself...

Default most memorable bits

Assalaamu Alaykum,

I can think of two memorable bits masha`Allah.

1. When Brother Mohammad told us about the blood story, something on the lines of if anything was to happen to your Wife and she needed blood, you as a Husband would make the most greatest exertion and ways to try and seize the blood to try and save her life, no form of fitnah on your journey will stop you from trying to reach the blood to save her. He used this analogy to compare with how important giving Dawah is, we as Muslims will be accountable for not trying to give dawah, the story emphasised how imperative giving dawah is, it’s not anything small, it’s a fard upon every Muslim to do. My version of his story was cut down tremendously so maybe insha`Allah the brother can type the actual story for us all to take heed of.

2. When Brother Abdur Raheem Green asked us to do an ice-breaker, this particular task was broke down in several parts. Our main task was to build the biggest tower to create a mobile holder only using only 3 newspapers, a pair of scissors and 2 sellotape. I think we had 15-20mins to complete the activity (not sure about the timing, I forgot sorry)

Abdur Raheem Green was going around tables to see what we were doing, he then told one sister to put one of her hands behind her back, this meant she could only use one hand to help us build the mobile pocket tower, he then came around and told the sister to put her other hand behind her back, this made her very frustrated due to not being able to use her hand to do anything, she could only communicate, or use parts of her body to try and engage herself. Than SubhanAllah the sister was asked to close her eyes and not open them. So now the sister had no use of her arms and hands nor her eye sight. The only thing thing she could do now was to ask people to give her a paper on which she could do drawings to explain what she wanted to put into action. Lastly she was told not to use her voice which built further aggravation and stress.

This story subhanAllah really sadden me, due to people completely ignoring this sisters needs and disabilities, even though we were in a jamm`ah sadly this sister was ignored and we lacked communication with her and forgot that we have a less vulnerable person in the group. We all wanted to do things in haste and ignored the fact there was someone who didn’t have no sight and no arms and no speech that wanted to be normal and join us with the activity. People like this we see everyday yet we walk by and not even say hello or to see if they are okay or need help. So insha`Allah if we see someone more needy than us we should ask if they need help and not make them feel less important than us.

Brother and Sisters we should be aware of what is around us, we can still be this person with no eye sight and completely paralyzed for life, only Allah knows what the future holds for us. Let us not take advantage of the precious body parts we have.

May Allah help all those who are less needy than us and protect us from any form of fitnah Aameen

I was going to mention the 'Most Memorable' bit as the the next 10 minutes that unfolded after that event took place.

I remember Hamza Tzortzis, who was sitting on my table, kept repeating a specific word about a dozen or so times.

He then got up to give his scheduled speech.

He was speechless and his eyes filled with tears... he remembered a story relating to the Prophet (saw) (someone fill us in on the exact story he narrated).

The word, which I won't forget, that he kept uttering was; 'Profound'

He kept saying 'that was a Profound exercise', and I was just dumbfounded by his constant repeating of the phrase.

In the end, I realised that it really was a Profound Exercise
